About Incoming!
This is the blog for the Canon Herald, in charge of the awards database visible at Canon Lore, and the Mortar Herald, in charge of making sure the Canon Herald has a database to be in charge of.
Canon Herald is used to be Mistress Bethan of Brockwood, who took over in 2007 from Baron Karl Faustus von Aachen, who is now Mortar Herald. However, she stood too close to a knight and is now Queen, meaning she has wisely found herself a deputy, Lady Teffania Tuckerton from Stormhold. Lady Teffania swiftly realised that, just as it’s better to give than to lend, it’s also more useful to volunteer for the full job than for the “acting” job, so she did, so she’s now Canon Herald. Yay her!
If you’re wondering about errors in Canon Lore, the most important piece of information is this: Canon is doing her best with the limited resources Mortar is providing. The software that runs the website is mostly fine, but the software that updates the database is still a bit flakey in parts, and Canon is frequently hampered by the fact that Mortar keeps having better things to do than fix it. Mortar is a bit of a slack bastard, to be honest. That said, things are improving. Don’t lose hope, and stay tuned.
To contact Mortar, send an email to mortar@sca.org.au. To contact Canon, the best bet is generally to use the Fix Me links on the Canon Lore site, all of which go directly to her.
